Elizabeth Margaret Deane, Chair
Foundation Head of Department, Head of School, Dean of Faculty and Pro-Vice Chancellor Education and Students.
Elizabeth Deane has had over 30 years’ experience in the Higher Education sector. Her experience spans roles in teaching, research and senior management positions including Foundation Head of Department; Head of School; Dean of Faculty and Pro-Vice Chancellor Education and Students. Deane holds a PhD from the University of Sydney and was until her progression into senior management, an active, funded researcher and postgraduate student supervisor in the area of developmental immunology and disease. Elizabeth has also held a number of national and international competitive grants for research into Learning, Teaching and Higher Education.
Since retiring in 2015 Elizabeth has continued her active engagement with the sector. She has undertaken a number of institutional reviews addressing such diverse areas as Students Support Services; Governance and IT provision and continues to be an international reviewer for the Scottish, New Zealand and PNG Higher Education quality assurance agencies. Deane is actively engaged in supporting Higher Education Private Providers and is a member or chair of a number of academic and governance boards of existing and aspiring providers. She is also currently Chair of the WSU Human Research Ethics committee. Elizabeth currently Chairs the Gateway Governing Council.
James Bawtree
James Bawtree - Chartered Project Professional, Strategic Advisor and Program/PMO Director, author of "The Strategy Implementation Gap", National Board Member and Fellow of AIPM also Fellow of APM UK, Certified Change Manager, Approved Axelos Trainer and Member of AICD.
James has led holistic and strategic reviews in Australia, NZ, UK, France, Spain and the US including the whole of Queensland Government, New Zealand Government, multiple Federal and NSW Government, six Defence Capability Programs and Defence CIOG twice as well as many banks, engineering and construction and government agencies.
He has also trained over five thousand sponsors, steering committee members, portfolios, program, PMO, change, benefit and project managers with 100% success rate for certified foundation courses and 90% success rate at practitioner level. He is an elected national Non-Executive Director and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM), a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD), a Charted Project Professional (ChPP) and Fellow of the Association of Project Management (APM), a Certified Practicing Project Director (CPPD), IPMA Level A Certified Projects Director and has been independently assessed by PeopleCert, through the world’s most rigorous process as an Approved Trainer in Business Transformation, Program, Project, Agile and PMO Management (AgileSHIFT, MSP, P3O & PRINCE2 Agile).

Extensive policy development and compliance management experience, Vishal Verma has advanced understanding of marketing and compliance of Australian tertiary education through direct involvement and formative learnings. He successfully operated and conducted internal audits, budgeting and financial forecasts on different industries including man power management, education, telecom and hospitality. Vishal has done Master of Professional Accounting from University of Western Sydney and possesses advanced understanding of financial management including cash flow, venture capital and corporate finance.

Chair of The Centre For Volunteering NSW. Board member of Odyssey House, AIM Overseas, Together For Humanity and Volunteering Australia. Lecturer in Postgraduate Community Languages at Sydney University. Worked with Australian Catholic University for over 2 decades as Director ACUCOM & Director International Education, was responsible for several thousand students a year across all States and in all Faculties. Under my guidance, the unit went from a peripheral, non-profitable department to an outstanding success financially. The unit developed relationships with over 100 Universities in the USA, Britain, Europe, China, Korea, Japan and India.
Author of 16 textbooks published by MacMillan and Jacaranda Wiley on the subject of business communication, literacy and adolescent literature.

Rajesh has over 20 years’ experience in Management Accounting in Government as well as
corporate sector. He has conducted bank audits and has been instrumental in Project
Assessments in general and financial viability aspects in particular. On academics’ front, he
has done Masters of Philosophy (Commerce), Masters of Business Administration and
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Besides accounting professional, he has been
teaching at Colleges and Universities.
